Sonya Bruner has a B.A. in psychology from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York. She subsequently earned an M.S. and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University New England, and completed two years of supervised training.
Following post-doctoral training, she entered private practice and expanded her clinical focus to include work with adults with a variety of presenting problems, including anxiety, depression, and trauma, in addition to relational and family issues.
She employs an integrative approach to treatment based on the needs of the individual, couple, or family. She firmly believes that psychotherapy necessitates flexibility of approach and interventions in order to appropriately serve clients.
