I have an integrated/eclectic approach to marriage and couples counseling. That is, I incorporate a variety of therapeutic models, including psychodynamic, CBT, and elements of The Gottman Method and Susan Johnson's Emotionally Focused Therapy. As a certified sex therapist, I'm equipped with skills to deal with intimacy issues. I have a postdoctoral diploma in child and adolescent psychotherapy, and so, relatedly, I'm able to address parenting components of a marital or couple issue, should those arise. Lastly, I have training in divorce mediation, and, while I do not practice that profession, my work with couples is enhanced by my awareness of key issues that pertain to divorce.
