When you think about your relationship, do you ever wonder, "How did we get here?" Then I am the therapist you should meet with! Stepping into a counseling room isn't easy, but YOU made the first step! Couples don't come to counseling when things are going well. I am here to make you as comfortable as possible. I use various techniques to point out patterns in relationships. I help empower couples to make changes to these patterns in their relationship in order to strengthen it. It may be working on communication skills (including listening), conflict resolution, premarital counseling, life stage changes. It is my job to make you and your partner comfortable to work through these issues. The length of therapy required depends on the needs and the couple that I am working with. I work with people of the LGBTQ population as well.
