My approach to therapy relies heavily on a few foundational truths: we need trust, we need the 3 C's( Commitment, Communication, and Compromise) and we need a fair dose of lightheartedness. If we do not develop those things, we have problems. Fact is, it is the lack of those things I just mentioned that bring people to therapy to begin with. I believe strongly in creating a trusting relationship built around honesty. I also believe in utilizing the simplest means to create a solution. Brief, strategic, and focused work is often the way to go... now about that commitment.
