Many couples struggle with issues whether they differ on communication style, child rearing, dealing with extended family, finances, or mental illness and many other possible targets for marital help. After nearly 30 years in practice I have found that a variety of treatment approaches help couples resolve these issues. I come from the foundation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but I will incorproate what treatment speaks to your specific issues. Family history is nearly always a part of my approach since we are so much of where we came from. Incorporating this with the situation or family your in provides many tools for understanding how our observations and perceptions influence our communication.
