I am a licensed clinical and health psychologist and relationship counselor/coach in Colorado who is also sex-positive, LGBTQIA+-affirming, and kink-aware. My goal in therapy is to help partners understand each other’s emotional worlds and develop empathy for the other(s). Counseling helps to improve communication, repair trust in the relationship and seek solutions to solve day-to-day problems around housework, parenting, finances and intimacy. As a coach, I provide partners with direction and guidance about how to improve their relationship through strategic, positive action.
I also specialize in polyamorous and other non-traditional relationships and alternative lifestyles. As your therapist, I do not assume that your identity or relationship structure is the source of your concerns. While polyamory or other non-traditional lifestyle choices can provide satisfying relationships and rich opportunities for personal growth, it may also bring its own unique set of challenges. With personal and professional experience, I can help you navigate through arising concerns and topics such as:
-Negotiating agreements and boundaries of relationships
-Approaching the "coming out" process
-Negotiating relationship parameters
-Infidelity and broken trust
I am currently accepting new adult clients for partners relationship counseling and coaching. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to help determine if it would be a good fit for working together. I do phone and also HIPAA-compliant video conferencing sessions.
