With over 25 years of clinical experience, Mary is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) who specializes in working with individuals, couples, and families who are dealing with a variety of challenges such as life cycle transitions, work/life balance, relationship issues, separation/divorce, mood disorders, dual diagnosis, failure to launch, and parenting. She also offers support for those struggling with grief, trauma, ADHD, depression, and anxiety.

Mary's therapeutic approach is multifaceted, drawing on several different modalities including Psychodynamic, Family Systems, CBT, Eclectic, DBT, Short Term Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She also enjoys offering psycho-educational workshops for the community.

As a Recovery Specialist, Mary has a particular expertise in treating addiction, including Substance Use Disorders & Process Addictions (Gambling, Codependency, Computer/Internet/Gaming). She provides support to clients by referring them to community resources for recovery-related needs such as substance abuse, gambling, internet addiction, and codependency.

Mary earned her BA in Psychology from Glassboro State College in 1986 and her Masters at the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 1994, with a Concentration in Clinical/Administration and a Specialization in Occupational/EAP. She has extensive experience providing consultation and clinical services to a variety of businesses, including US Airways during 9/11, Westinghouse, Hospital for Sick Children during Y2K, North Arundel Health Systems, Baltimore County Public Schools, and several other EAP companies.

Throughout her career, Mary has worked with clients in diverse settings, including community mental health centers, inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment centers, a maximum-security prison, hospitals, and most recently, as a Substance Abuse Therapist/Family Program Specialist at a behavioral healthcare setting. Here, she provided assessments, diagnosis, individual, group, and family therapy on the outpatient and inpatient child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric psychiatric units, as well as partial hospitalization programs. Mary is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

Overall, Mary is dedicated to providing evidence-based therapies in a supportive and collaborative environment. She is passionate about helping individuals and families move towards improved psychological health and stronger relationships.
