Emotionally Focused Therapy was developed by and continues to be refined by watching what does and doesn't work for couples. It has over 30 years of development and research in working with the bonding and attachment of couples. The approach honors both partners and focuses on the relationship between you. All couples argue. What causes relationships to become distressful, perhaps even to the breaking point, is distance.
