Kristen Scarlett is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor with over 20 years of experience. She is co-founder and clinic director of the Bryant Park office of Octave, a modern therapy and coaching practice in New York and San Francisco. She works with patients on various issues including depression, anxiety, insomnia, OCD and relationship problems. She spent most of her career in integrative healthcare settings including One Medical and she pioneered the mental health services at the Cancer Center at Overlook Hospital, part of the Atlantic Healthcare System, a cutting edge Fortune 500 company. She also teaches Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at NYU Langone as part of their didactics program for psychiatry residents.
In addition, Kristen contributes to various blogs and presents workshops on wellness and self care.. She integrates wellness techniques and research based cognitive behavioral therapy skills to help patients find balance, calm and stability. She has been trained by the Center of Mind Body Medicine and the Beck Institute.
