My belief in working with couples are that disagreements and unexpected life situations are bound to happen and impact any relationship. However, the effects of these events have the potential to lead to deeper conflicts or reinvigorate wounds or frustrations that have already been present for some time. I find that when relationships are in distress, we often tend to lose empathy and understanding for one another. Therefore, I work with my couples to begin exploring the direction both wish to take the relationship by providing the opportunity for the couple to learn more about themselves, each other, and implement new skills in order to bridge the gaps in the relationship.
