Some couples come to therapy feeling exhausted by the same painful arguments over and over. Others feel lonely in the relationship, stuck walking on eggshells, or more like roommates than partners. Often there is still love underneath it all, but also hurt, resentment, shutdown, anxiety, or years of feeling misunderstood.
I work best with couples who care deeply about each other but feel stuck in painful patterns they can’t seem to get out of alone. My goal is not to decide who is right or wrong, but to help both people feel more emotionally safe, understood, connected, and able to reach each other again.
I especially enjoy working with high-conflict couples, LGBTQ+ couples, couples navigating intimacy or attachment struggles, and premarital or interfaith couples wanting a stronger foundation.
I’m Jennifer Burrell, though most people call me Paisley. I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with nearly 10 years of experience helping couples slow down reactive cycles, repair emotional wounds, and create healthier ways of communicating and connecting.
