First I explore what brought you both together and how and why you fell in liove. I work on the strengths of each partner and what they brought to the marriage. In my experience I have found that many couples get together without really understanding or knowing much about each other's family culture or background and how they were raised.
This understanding helps in identifying what each partner is needing from the other partner.
We spend a lot of time on skill building with regards to communication, identifying triggers that seem to provoke each other and acknowlwdhing actions that help stop unwanted behaviors . Further ,we work on Empathy. I find this is a powerful component in helping each other to connect.
i do see couples virtually now as well.
