Welcome — I’m Dr. April Brown, The Doctor of Intimacy™
I believe some of the most painful moments in life happen when we feel disconnected from ourselves, from our partners, or from the people we love most.
My own journey taught me that intimacy is about much more than physical connection. It’s about feeling seen, heard, understood, safe, and connected.
Today, I help individuals and couples understand what is creating distance in their relationships and find meaningful ways to reconnect. My work explores intimacy in all its dimensions including emotional, communication, physical, spiritual, forgiveness, humor, activities, service, and, most importantly, intimacy with self.
Whether you're struggling with communication, rebuilding trust, navigating infidelity, feeling more like roommates than partners, or simply wondering where the connection went, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, your relationship, and what it may take to move forward.
Through counseling, couples retreats, education, books, and Bringing Intimacy Back, I’m passionate about helping people create healthier and more intentional connections.
