Dionne Schmidt, MA, LMFT has counseling experience working with couples and families to attune all aspects of relationships: biological, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual. She specializes in helping couples improve communication and trust within the dyad. She has experience working with couples related to infidelity, tension between being a spouse and a parent, postpartum depression, the effects of substance abuse in a family, role dynamics within the couple, as well as grief and loss. Dionne enjoys pre-marital counseling and helping couples establish a solid foundation for their union. She incorporates aspects of health and wellness into therapy if a client desires with her background in Nutrition. Dionne utilizes Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and aspects of mindfulness with her clients to help them reach their goals in a safe, therapeutic environment.
