David received his undergraduate in psychology at Utah Valley University and his masters degree in marriage and family therapy from Brigham Young University. He has worked as clinical director of an adolescent treatment center that specialized in pornography and sexual addiction. During this time he received his certification in treating sexual addiction through Dr. Patrick Carnes' organization, IITAP. He is also trained in EMDR for trauma therapy and EFT for couples, which focuses on emotional connection.
He enjoys teaching college courses, spending time outdoors, reading, and playing basketball (if his friends make the arrangements for him)! His favorite things are date night with his wife and traveling to different places. He lives in Pleasant Grove, Utah, with his wife and five children.
