I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and work primarily with adolescents, adults and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, marital issues, identity and eating disorders.
My passion for counseling comes from a deep desire to provide insight, hope and healing to others. We all live in a broken world where our wounds can begin to direct our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. But through a combination of clinical and spiritual principles, we can heal from our experiences, challenge our thoughts, and redirect behaviors towards healthier outcomes.
My clinical approach is reinforced by my belief that we are all a combination of mind, body and spirit. These areas are all in need of compassionate care and supported growth in order to live fulfilling, wholehearted lives. I strive to be an open and gentle therapeutic partner with my clients.
I graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 1994 with a Bachelors of Journalism. After starting and raising my family, I earned a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Wayland Baptist University in 2015. I am certified in Prepare/Enrich Marriage Counseling and HeartSync Inner Healing Prayer.
I've been married to my husband, Scott for twenty-five years and we have four children, ranging from ages ten to twenty. Our family has served Christian faith communities in England, San Antonio, Bulverde/Spring Branch, and Lake Travis, Texas.
