Carmel Brown is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). She provides therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in Private Practice. She has a B.A. in Administration of Justice and an M.A. in Professional Counseling. She has worked with a variety of populations in a variety of settings over the course of the past 20 years. She worked as a probation and parole officer prior to returning to graduate school for a Masters in counseling. After obtaining her graduate degree in counseling she worked as a Program Director in a small private crisis agency in which she provided services for individuals who were homeless, suffering from symptoms of mental illness, with a history of chemical dependency. She also worked with homeless teen mothers, and victims of sexual assault. In addition, she was able to spend 5 years working for a state mental health hospital in which she worked with individuals who were Unfit to Stand Trial (UST), and Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI) in a Forensic Center. As a therapist in private practice, working with married couples and families is what she enjoys the most about her career.
