I feel there needs to be a connection with the couple and the therapist. Then an approach can be established to try to resolve as many issues to develop a healthy relationship. I believe in couples learning how to keep their partner happy and in this process find happiness themselves. I like to find out what things were like when they were good and try to get that back and reconnect. I like to have fun in sessions when appropriate as a sense of humor can help break the ice.
