- Kime464 asked I’ve been married for 10years and I’ve always called, given a gift, paid for dinner for my husband side of the family whenever it’s their birthday or mother’s day or Father’s Day. My husband has never done any of that for my side of the family and I don’t expect him to. His family never call or anything when it’s my birthday. I’m tired of doing so much so this year I’ve decided not to call his mother for Mother’s Day. I’m pretty sure she’ll get upset and so will my husband. I want to know if other people greet their in-laws on special occasion regardless if they have a meaningful relationship with them?
