Open yourself again for your partner, create a "rekindle" atmosphere, be respectful and allow yourself to be flirty like at the beginning, change old patterns and invent new and positive habits with the partner.

Taking time away can remove distractions of home life and allow the couple to focus solely on their relationship.  This may mean a vacation, or simply a day trip.  Remove the cell phones and spend time relearning each other.

Sometimes marriages become drudgingly complacent. If you are serious about rekindling the spark in the marriage, recognize that this important work entails an “us” instead of a “me.” While your actions can fan the flames of a cool marriage, the effort and invigoration must be matched by your partner. Start with conversation. Articulate your concerns to your partner and encourage your partner to respond. If you both agree that your marriage could use a power boost, return to the things that built your relationship in the first place. Conversation, travel, lovemaking, and a common value system may be among these relationship starters/restarters.

Alter your attitude and decide on the fact that you are trying to rekindle the marriage and make it fun again. This will help your perspectives change and fix a boring marriage by softening you up.

If you are thinking about rekindling, chances are that in the place of love there is anger and defensive nature. Change both of that and be ready to accept your spouse for who he/she is.

The top priority of the marriage was not to take care of kids or watch sports every Sunday but to increase your love life one step at a time. Make time to do that now and make him/her feel special again.

A good sex life helps in rekindling fire again. In addition, positivity, good communication, helping each other out, attention to each other, and trying to have fun will rekindle the love that seems lost.

Spend time with your partner, apart from kids and work. Have a night once a week or at least once every couple of weeks where you both get away and spend time focusing on just each other.

The little things make all the difference. Whatever little things you used to do to show your spouse that you love them that have faded, bring them back.

Changing your atitude is very important to have fire again in your marriage. If you remember your first kiss, you were kissing a person you barely knew and it was very exciting. Bring that joy back by not being judgemental about someone. Soften yourself up and change perspective.
