My husband and I can’t agree on how to help daughter with anxiety

I don’t even know how to begin with this but our daughter has anxiety and has asked to get counseling.
My husband thinks that she (and I) are overreacting to this.
He thinks that she should be discussing her feelings with us first.
He feels she was over scheduled and now that school and activities are done for the summer she should be alright.
I see the anxiety she experiences and think she does need professional help.
It’s more than being over scheduled.
I agree she should be talking with us but also a objective professional too.

You should both sit down with your daughter and talk about what she's been going through. Ask her to explain why she wants to go to therapy, and you can talk to your husband about the benefits that it could bring. This way, he gets to hear from her and understand why she wants/needs a professional.
