About
At the Briggs Institute, I am a pre-licensed clinical fellow, and have worked with a wide range of client concerns in settings such as an employee assistance program, community mental health clinic, high school, and county jail. Education-wise, I have completed a Ph.D. in Couple and Family Therapy, M.A. in Psychology, M.D.R. in Dispute Resolution, and M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy. Additionally, I teach courses on relationships and families, and am active in research on both topics, too. At the Briggs Institute, I am under the clinical supervision of Dr. Justin Briggs, Dr. Christopher Gonzalez, and Dr. Dave Morgan.
My areas of clinical specialty include working with adult men, premarital counseling, intimate relationships, family issues, and the experience of burnout and compassion fatigue in the corporate world and helping professions. My work is informed by self-determination theory, family systems theory, acceptance and commitment therapy, and common factors.
Getting help can be daunting. I work with those wanting to address life’s challenges, such as the things that make you say, “I don’t know what to do about this,” to the things that make you frustrated and confused. If you are on the fence about therapy, I offer a free phone consultation to answer any questions before scheduling an appointment.
