1. Plan something exciting

Do what works for you and your spouse. Plan a weekend getaway, let the kids spend a few days with their grandparents while the two of you sit around the house, drink wine and watch movies or if your budget allows, go on a second honeymoon. The main objective is to get one on one time with your spouse in a new and exciting environment (and yes, being in your home without the kids can be new and exciting).

 

2. Embrace spontaneity

All relationships need spontaneity. Lucky for you, being spontaneous is really simple. Kiss your partner passionately for no reason at all, go out on the town just because you feel like it or surprise your spouse with a hot date.

 

3. Get dressed up

Comfort comes with being married. Because of this, less effort is put into appearance. It is great to know that your partner loves you no matter what but dressing up reignites the physical attraction you had when you first met. Increasing physical attraction gives the relationship that wonderful new feeling. Best of all, putting in the extra effort to look your best will make your partner feel special because you did it for them.

 

4. Try something new in the bedroom

This is the most common way to spice up your married life but it works. Stepping away from the usual will do a lot of good. Try role playing, get in touch with your desires and share those desires so they can be fulfilled. You may even want to take the fun out of the bedroom.

 

5. Start exercising

This is going to put intimacy into high gear. Exercise will make you feel sexier and can actually increase your sex drive. Regular physical activity does this by improving circulation, releasing endorphins, and boosting energy levels.
