Dancing with the Stars pro Witney Carson, 22, married her high school sweetheart Carson McAllister, 23, on New Year’s Day. The happy couple tied the knot in a religious ceremony surrounded by 100 loved ones at NOAH’s event venue in the Salt Lake City area of Utah. Although the professional dancer had a mere three months to plan, her wedding was nothing less than beautiful thanks to her vision and the help of celebrity wedding planner Michael Russo.

The wedding

Let’s talk fashion first. Carson wore a lovely winter wedding dress by Rivini with long lace sleeves, a high neckline and full skirt while bridesmaids, which included a few fellow pro dancers, looked oh so pretty in Amsale. As for the bride’s hair and makeup, Witney opted for soft, romantic curls, lush lashes and a pale pink lip. The intimate ceremony was followed by a sit down dinner catered by State Street Feed and Supply with cake and cupcakes by Sugar Kisses. After dinner a lively reception closed the three-part event.

Witney and Carson’s love story

Aside from the wedding itself, Witney and Carson have a sweet love story behind their union. The two have been together since their senior year in high school but Carson had his eye on Witney since 7th grade! According to her now husband, Carson was his dream girl. They started as friends, dated soon after and got engaged in October of 2015. Now the two are wed and happier than ever.

A fresh start and a new life

Is there a better way to start the year? Getting married on New Year’s day signifies the beginning of a life together and being able to start that life surrounded by loved ones creates an even more memorable day. Starting the year off as a married couple is the ultimate way to enter a new life and really start fresh. From this month on, Witney and Carson can be together, love each other and grow together as time goes by. The lucky couple also get to ring in the New Year and their anniversary. How amazing is that?
