When One Wedding Just Isn’t Enough
Vow renewals are growing in popularity. Every day couples are walking down the aisle more than once in addition to many celebrity couples. A vow renewal is a great way to celebrate love once again and can also serve as a new start. Celeb couples who are still going strong after renewing their vows include Matt Damon and his wife Luciana, Fergie and Josh Duhamel along with the Beckhams (David and Victoria Beckham). Nowadays one wedding is just not enough.
Matt Damon and his wife Luciana renewed their vows in the Caribbean. Escaping to the beautiful island of St. Lucia with a few friends (50 to be exact) was a lovely way to celebrate their union and finally get the wedding of their dreams. Their first wedding was a simple one at New York’s City Hall. Although star studded, the ceremony was intimate and the couple kept the wedding a secret by booking the resort under false names.
Fergie and Josh Duhamel’s renewal served as a fresh start for the couple. After circulating rumors of cheating, Duhamel surprised Fergie with a private ceremony in Santa Barbara, Ca. The wedding only included the famous couple and the minister.
David and Victoria Beckham’s vow renewal was very family inclusive. The soccer star got down on one knee, presented his wife with a custom made wedding gown and their sons were pageboys at the romantic ceremony.
If you and your spouse are considering a vow renewal, here are a few reasons to take the plunge and start making plans:
Strong Symbolic Nature
No legal documents and/or licenses are involved which increases the spiritual significance and symbolic nature of the ceremony. A vow renewal is a chance to have a wedding that is solely focused on love.
Presents a Fun Opportunity
Who wouldn’t like to plan a getaway, get married again and go on a second honeymoon?
Strengthens a Marriage
A vow renewal ceremony will allow you and your partner to reflect on the vows you took years ago and think about the true meaning of those vows. You can even create your own so you can reminisce about the past and set new ground for the future.
