Actress Jennifer Garner announces her split with Ben Affleck and his alleged affair with their nanny; which he has adamantly denied. This is for the first time Jennifer is speaking about her divorce in public. “It was a real marriage”, she told Vanity Fair in their March 2016 issue. Garner also opened up about the scandal where Ben was accused of romancing with Christine Ouzounian (their nanny), saying she has nothing to do with their divorce. “We had been separated for months before I ever heard about nanny. She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgement? Yes”, she said.
How Jennifer explained it to the kids
Garner admits that one of the hardest parts of the ordeal was to explain about the divorce to the children. It is anyway not fair for the kids to have their nanny disappear from their lives. “I had to have conversations about the meaning of ‘scandal.’
It has been rough for Jennifer to shield her family from media coverage. She has done her best to stay away from it and has pledged to stay offline. She admits that ignoring the attention does not mean that she is not affected by it. On this Ben says “Oh, you just don’t care, she says, ‘No, it’s the opposite. It hurts me so much, and I care so much’.

“I don’t hate Ben Affleck, he is the love of my life”
Despite Affleck’s affair with their children’s nanny, Garner still feels for him and holds no regrets about marrying him. “I didn’t marry the big fat star; I married him. He is the love of my life”.
She explains Affleck as ‘brilliant’ and ‘most generous’, but feels he is just complicated. When asked about Ben’s phoenix back tattoo, Garner explains the situation with humour, “Bless his heart’. A phoenix rising from the ashes and am I the ashes in this scenario’, she asks.

After the heartbreaking divorce, Jennifer has been honest and accepting just as much blame as Ben.
We think Jennifer’s been very honest and positive here. We wish her good luck!
