If both of you are nonresidents, there are a 96 hours waiting period.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>District of Columbia:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Five (5) days<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Florida:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> No waiting period for Florida residents have both completed a state-sanctioned marriage preparation course within the last 12 months. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is a three-day waiting period for Florida residents who have not taken the course.
