Sexual Frustration – Not a Taboo Anymore
In This Article
The main reason for such a large community and the topic being common on such a large ground is because it is all hush hush, and people do not talk or share their experiences.
Talk aloud
Sexual frustrations are very common in older couples or among the couples who have grown comfortable in their skin and with each other. In such cases, the couples take each other for granted and stop putting in the required effort.
Any couple in a relationship is required to communicate with each other.
Every relationship is based on communication; however, withholding information may lead to distrust, heavy baggage, and a whole lot of frustrations, arguments, and fights for later on.
The reasons behind sexual frustrations
Though there are zillion reasons and each can be as unique as one relationship can get, however, the following handful of reasons can be taken in general which can result in sexual frustrations, though they can be avoided if they are talked about clearly and openly between the couple.
Not focusing on the partner
The first cause for sexual frustration could be that one party is focusing too much on their own need.
Every bond has a scheme of giving and taking.
Sometimes you have to give whatever your partner needs, and at others, you would be at the receiver’s end.
It is a cycle, a healthy one at best as no one is complete and you, in times of disparity, help out your partner. However, when this bond breaks, this is when the balance tips and things start to go south ways.
Difference in desire
The second cause could be the difference in the level of desire.
Like mentioned before, if communication is not there, there is only so much that sparks and sex can result in. No matter how sexually compatible you are, if the desire level varies and if there is no open communication about it, again, things are going to tip over to one particular side.
If the desire level is not matched or met, it can lead to some serious problems in one’s marriage. It can even lead to the marriage being dissolved.
Physical changes
The third and most important reason can occur when a certain time has gone by since the start of the relationship, and the partner’s body type and shape have changed.
When the world starts to point fingers and murmurs reach your significant other’s ears that they are somehow not attractive enough as per the overall standard of beauty; even though you did not do anything in this case.
However, being the partner and being in a relationship, it is your job to make sure that your partner is loved and taken care of. Anything short of the above mentioned will definitely affect your actions in the bedroom.
Other factors
Another coffin in the nail is again a tricky one.
It has been uncovered that when husbands, out of love or adoration, try to put their wives in charge is when the metaphorical trouble hits the fan.
It has been researched that the female counterparts, at times, crumble under pressure either because they themselves are unsure of the things that they desire or just because it is not the usual norm and they are not used to the idea behind them being in charge.
This results in crying, break downs, and a lot of frustrations for both the partners.
In a nutshell
Whatever your reason is, thinking that your partner is unresponsive is seldom the answer.
You married them and spent a long time with them, so you are supposed to know them inside and out. The chances are that it still is just a misunderstanding which can be dissolved with just an open conversation.
