4 Weddings on TLC

This show is hilarious, and it also happens to be casting now! If you’d like to give it a shot you can sign up here. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this show; it takes 4 brides who compete with eachother to win a dream honeymoon with their new husband. The brides attend each other’s weddings and judge each wedding. Obviously, each of these women want to win so they’re going to be totally biased and always think that their wedding is the best one. This makes for great drama and TV, you essentially have 4 brides complaining about each other’s weddings and how bad they are compared to their own. Here are some important takeaways I learned from watching some of the show:

The wedding is about the couple- The comments can get a little nasty and obviously it’s important to note that the wedding is a very personal affair. In the video above, the couple loves horses and racing while the other brides just aren’t as passionate. When planning a wedding, the most important consideration is what YOU are passionate about. If you have true friends at the wedding they won’t care where or how it is held; just that you’ll get to be together to share the most important moment in your life.

Don’t invite haters to your wedding- On 4 Weddings, you can guarantee that you’re going to have 3 guests who are going to be party poopers. Don’t invite any of your friends or family who will do the same. We all know who these people are, the ones who are never happy, or always criticizing others. Negative energy does not have its place at the wedding, keep it fun and enjoyable by ensuring your guest list is.

Great Wedding Ideas- Generally, the show is valuable to watch especially for getting ideas and inspiration for the big day. As a viewer you can see what works and what doesn’t for these brides and apply them for your own wedding. From the past episodes I’ve watched there are some really beautiful weddings that can serve as great models when wedding planning.
