Gift Ideas: Thanking the Wedding Party
Are you on the lookout for a unique groomsmen gift, but don’t feel like giving a pocket knife or money clip? Believe it or not, there actually are some alternative options out there that make for a unique way to say “thanks” to the people who will be sharing in your special day.
Take my friends Anthony and Erin for example. They’re getting married in a few weeks and they recently shared how they went about creating some original wedding party gifts.
To get started, they bought bottles of the favorite wine or liquor of each groomsman and bridesmaid. They then fired up their computer and created some custom labels for each bottle on Photoshop (any design program will work).
The labels went something like this:
Matt’s Best Man Scotch
Beth’s “Straight from the Bottle” Chardonnay
Kenny’s “Rough Night Ahead” Rum
They printed the new labels onto a sticker and replaced the labels on the bottles with the newly created works. For a bonus touch, they ordered engraved shot glasses to accompany the bottles. The gifts will be presented at the rehearsal dinner on the night before the wedding. Hopefully everyone will be able to fully function the next morning for their wedding day duties!
