A Wonderful WedDIYng Part II: The Organization

Last week, we introduced you to one of our favorite newlyweds, Blithe and Scott, through their engagement photo session. This creatively romantic couple lives in Los Angeles, CA and planned an Austin, TX wedding. Today, we introduce you to some of their DIY wedding communication details (website, save the date, schedule, menu) that showcase their creativity.

Marriage is about union, unison. Bringing separate pieces into a harmonious whole. Significantly, the organizational details of Blithe and Scott’s wedding also reflect a form of unison. Each piece fits together, following a single, encompassing theme.

The Website

We love the attention to detail, such as the heart on the map to pinpoint Austin, TX and the little Texas state icons as the periods between the dates. To see the live version of the site, check out .

This section, in the back of the schedule, encourages participation by the guests through social media. For such a social event like weddings, use of social media seems like a natural fit!

The Menu

From the consistent red and black color scheme, to the matching fonts, to the repeated use of the Texas state icons, Blithe and Scott’s wedding communication details definitely pay close attention to detail.  We love the modern style of this modern couple’s wedding planning! And, if you like their wedding preparation, stay tuned to our blog for a feature on Blithe and Scott’s wedding day!
