Front Row at Jenny Yoo Bridal Collection Fall 2011

Last night I was fortunate enough to be a part of the exclusive Fall Fashion Show for Jenny Yoo’s Fall 2011 collection. The dresses were beautiful! I noticed some really cool trends, vibrant colors, and a lot of simple and elegant bridal gown designs.

The event took place at the London Hotel on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood, the banquet room was gorgeous and filled with some really cool wedding professionals who work in the LA area. There were giveaways, samples, oh and did I mention?….open bar! Brides were buzzing about, talking to vendors and getting inspiration from every corner of the room.

Now, let’s get to the fashion. Here are some of the current trends I was seeing down the runway:

* Bows galore- On both bridesmaid’s dresses and on the bridal gowns. Bows both short and long. My favorite long bridesmaid’s dress is below it was a dark chocolate color with a flowy fabric. My favorite short bridesmaid’s dress with a bow was the light tan dress with the black bow. I think accents of black are still appropriate for bridesmaid’s and these dresses make that show.

*Vibrant Colors- There were some truly popping colors coming down the runway lastnight. Greens, yellows, royal purples, and even the navy blue seemed to have a metallic tinge to it. Don’t knock these bright and bold colors as they may be the “pop” you need on

*Pockets- Now this was something really cool and different. I LOVE pockets, because I love being comfortable while being dressy. As you can see on the pictures below there were pockets in the bridesmaid’s dresses which is brilliant! It’s convenient and doesn’t take away from the look of the dress, bridesmaids can throw a camera, lip gloss, or whatever they’d like and have it with them throughout the entire wedding.

The bridal gowns featured simple yet elegant and classy takes on the wedding gown. There was some embellishment but just enough, it definitely wasn’t embellishment galore. The jewels were intiricately placed usually around the waist, so it was just a simple touch. The focus was really on the gown, long and flowy with a lot of back detail. Interesting backs included buttons going down the center of the gown, a long flowy bow, and simple backs for the strapless gowns.

My favorite part of the night was the adorable flower girl who walked down the runway. The finale was beautifully done with men matched up with women as if it were a true wedding. Check in tomorrow when we highlight the groom’s fashion that was going down the runway…
