Lots of wedding drama in the celebrity world this week: Kat Von D’s engagement gets called off, Jessica Simpson can’t find a wedding dress, Kim Kardashian’s bachelorette party (and invites) & more! Read on to get your daily dose of wedding news.

The Breakup – If you haven’t already heard the news about Kat Von D and Jesse James, you’re in for a shock—the two broke off their nuptials just this past week, citing “distance” to be the reason for their split. Apparently, Jesse recently moved to Texas to be closer to his ex-wife and, consequently, for his children—but it seems highly suspicious.

While Jesse has said that “I’m so sad because I really love her” to People magazine, all Kat has said is “I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, that’s all the info I’d like to share. Thanks for respecting that,” in a tweet. Obviously, something is up, as Kat Von D made another splash in headlines just a couple days ago, when she walked off Good Day LA (the host had introduced her in a not-so-favorable way, and brought up the touchy subject of Kat + Jesse’s break—not the best idea). Sad times, of course, that the relationship and wedding ceremony is off. She later tweeted: “Today was really hard for me. And no one’s to blame other than myself,” and also “Never planned on walking away from this relationship, let alone the timing of things.” Tough stuff–and even tougher when you have your lover’s face tattooed to your body. (Yup, that was a picture of Jesse James as just a boy.)

K Squared –Lucky for all of us, more deets have been released on Hollywood “royalty” Kim Kardashian and her star-studded nuptials to New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries. A copy of the wedding invitation has popped out online—a fancy shmancy invite which has been “emblazoned with a double-K insignia” and the Big Date: Saturday, August 20 in Montecito, California. Seems like it’s a lot closer than most brides would have planned (Kim just got engaged mid-May, after all) but when it comes to being a celeb in love (ahem, also with a huge fortune and wedding budget), the day couldn’t come fast enough for these two!

Last weekend, Kim Kardashian held her bachelorette party at Tao in Las Vegas, while Kris enjoyed his own bachelor party at Lavo Las Vegas right down the street. Reports are buzzing that Kim “broke the rules” and actually CRASHED Kris’s party for a couple minutes that night. Now the question is if Kim is a jealous, suspicious fiancée or just a curious, fun-loving party-crasher… We’ll never know, but hopefully Kris enjoyed it! The only other details that has emerged from the invite: the event will be very formal, a strictly black-tie affair.

On The Lookout – Don’t worry, brides! You’re not the only one stressing over finding *the perfect wedding gown* — celeb and singer Jessica Simpson, who got engaged to fiancé Eric Johnson in November, has been on the hunt for MONTHS. Even though she’s sure the dress will be amazing (as any bride-to-be assures herself), the perfect, low-cut wedding dress for Simpson just hasn’t turned up yet.

Perhaps that’s because Simpson is more concerned with all the wedding day details and assorted planning—after all, she’s said that she wants the wedding day to be absolutely amazing for all guests. “With a wedding, it should be a celebration … we should all be having fun, every single person there,” she said—and we think she’s absolutely right. Go Jessica for realizing the one thing that almost all weddings are: a joyful celebration of two people ready to spend the rest of their lives together!

Made-For-TV Wedding – And speaking of Jessica Simpson and marriage, her former husband and beau Nick Lachey just recently remarried too—to the gorgeous actress television personality and model Vanessa Minnillo. The cute couple wed just a couple weeks ago at a beautiful destination wedding on the British Virgin Islands. And we’re sure Vanessa was beautiful—after all, the blushing groom told Access Hollywood on Thursday, “She looked stunning… I hadn’t seen the dress until the ceremony, so you have that moment where it takes your breath away.” Nick also said the wedding went beyond his “wildest expectations” and said “It was a lot of fun… Everyone had a blast.” Sounds like one for the books, eh?

Our favorite quote from him: “It’s a special moment when she first comes around the corner,” he continued. “‘Wow! That’s the woman I’m about to marry.’” Can’t wait to watch his reaction when the TLC Special “Nick & Vanessa’s Dream Wedding” airs TOMORROW (yes, their wedding was taped).
